As your therapist, I want you to feel heard and validated. Therapy allows an opportunity for introspection into what's working for you and what's not working. The work begins when we can find effective strategies to replace unhealthy coping mechanisms in our life. I find joy in watching individuals gain insight and find pleasure in their lives again.

I have experience in working with clients who have experienced Trauma including:

  • Domestic Violence

  • Sexual Abuse/ Assault

  • Physical Abuse

  • Traumatic Grief

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Life Transitions (Adoption, Divorce, etc.)

  • Behavioral and Disruption in Children

  • Parenting and Co-Parenting Concerns

  • Play Therapy

  • Gender Identity

I work with children (beginning at age 5), adolescents, families, and adults.

Do you ever feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders?

Imagine what it might feel like to connect with someone who listens to your needs and approaches therapy in a nonjudgmental way while using an approach that integrates mind, body, and soul.

Alexandra received a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Pentecostal Theological Seminary. She is a certified counselor with The Board of Examiners of Georgia Christian Counselors and Therapists. Alexandra was born in Costa Rica and is Bi-lingual (Spanish and English). She is passionate about providing culturally responsive care to all, particularly marginalized identities. She looks forward to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and providing a safe place that promotes creativity, growth, and respect for all her client’s.

The perceptions we hold of ourselves, our relationships, and our experiences often get stuck in our minds and our bodies. Therapy offers a unique perspective and a safe place to help you sort out and shift what’s keeping you stuck. I am a graduate student at Northcentral University working to complete my degree in Marriage & Family Therapy.

I invite all parts of you to be seen and nurtured with warmth and empathy. The work of healing is difficult and brave. Together, we will explore the ways you feel stuck with curiosity and compassion. I am interested in working with individuals and couples who are feeling disconnected from themselves, their relationships, and their purpose. My style is depth-oriented and collaborative.

I utilize a multicultural lens, always working to dismantle biases within myself and doing my healing work as part of my commitment to safety and care for you.

Clinical Mental Health Counseling

I am enthusiastic, optimistic, patient, understanding, non-judgemental, flexible, and confidential. My passion is to help people to find new ways to overcome the limitations of their life stressors and reclaim their lives.

As an intern, my counseling approach is individually tailored while focusing on how a client’s behaviors and thoughts dictate their feelings in a given situation. Through a two-way commitment, clients and I can build a successful journey of real and sustainable progress.
